joseph.seh@oceanbleu.ltdArtists & craftspeople
We invite makers to submit art objects and creations inspired by maritime, river and lake environments, and by waterfront areas and communities.
Submit a creationSend a few images, a description, the territory represented and information about the materials. We then discuss selection, sales terms and delivery.
Art, useful objects and souvenirs can also help raise a territory’s profile.
Our work for KribiWood & durability
Blue Shop aims to prioritise documented wood origins and responsible sourcing. Reuse is considered where suitable for the product’s intended use. Each listing will specify species, origin and verified certifications; no certification is claimed at this stage.
For kitchen boards, the suitability of finishes, inks and adhesives for food contact must be verified before sale. Care instructions will accompany the product.
Reuse & creation
The Blue Shop aims to welcome creations made through reuse and recycling, with a transparent account of how they are made.
Describe the materials used and their origin.
Explain what is recovered, reused or recycled in each creation.
Tell the story of the place, skills and people behind the object.
Your enquiry will be available to the coordination team for review and follow-up. An application or expression of interest does not constitute acceptance, a booking or a payment commitment.
Blue Shop · Practical guide
Blue Shop is Blue Ocean International’s space for products, services and skills across marine, lake and river economies. Businesses, cooperatives, institutions and project owners can describe a requirement, identify a contact or explore creations connected to waterfront areas. This guide explains how to prepare a useful discussion and move towards a proposal that meets your needs.
The marketplace lets businesses offer a product or service and publish a requirement. A port operator can seek maintenance, a cooperative can request fishing equipment, and a company can offer logistics services. Visitors can browse offers and requests by country, sector and type of product or service.
To make discussions useful, a listing identifies the company, country and contact, together with specifications, quantity, service area, indicative price or expected deliverables. Submission is free. Blue Ocean reviews the listing before publication. Contact details agreed by the submitter then allow interested buyers or providers to make contact directly.
Browse offers and submit a requestThe fishing directory helps visitors identify manufacturers and distribution networks for outboard engines, nets, safety equipment and other supplies. For a fishing canoe or small boat, describe its intended use, vessel characteristics, required product reference and delivery location. This information helps the supplier prepare a proposal suited to the actual requirement.
Before ordering, request written confirmation of the model, accessories, spare parts, commercial warranty and after-sales support available in your country. An engine appearing in a catalogue does not confirm stock. A competent professional should assess compatibility with the vessel. Local maintenance arrangements also deserve attention before a purchase is agreed.
Explore fishing suppliersInfrastructure needs also include landing facilities, pontoons, waterways and waterfront areas. A project may address access to the water, port operations, dredging, water quality or flood resilience. The Solutions & expertise section presents an initial selection of companies and technical organisations, with links to the official sources describing their activities.
Describe the site, its marine, lake or river setting, the problem to solve and any known constraints. A solution suited to a port is not automatically appropriate for a lake or river. Local conditions, necessary studies, permissions and responsibilities need to be clarified before an assignment or equipment purchase proceeds.
Beyond equipment, a project may require an assessment, feasibility study, specification, blue economy strategy or training. Several disciplines may be involved, including engineering, environment, fisheries, aquaculture, energy and territorial development. The project form allows you to identify expected deliverables, an indicative budget, preferred working languages and a target completion date.
Blue Ocean can support project definition, provider searches and proposal comparison within a scope agreed by quotation. Comparable references, qualifications, availability and local delivery capabilities must be confirmed with each provider. Your project enquiry remains private. The form does not automatically pass your contact details to any of the organisations listed.
Describe my project and required skillsDirectory records distinguish an official presence found, information requiring review and a confirmed closure. The review date and supporting source are visible. Weekly monitoring aims to update information supported by evidence. An inaccessible website calls for further checking; it is not enough to conclude that a business has stopped operating.
An identified company is not necessarily a Blue Ocean partner or a registered marketplace seller. Directory stock remains unconfirmed. For submitted product offers, sellers can provide dated availability, report a stockout or suspend their offer using their private link. Always confirm the exact product reference and delivery arrangements before placing an order.
A standard listing is free. Featured placement can be requested at €30 excluding VAT for 30 days. For an assisted transaction, the standard commission is 5% of the amount received by the seller, excluding VAT, freight, insurance and customs charges, subject to a prior written agreement. Studies and expert assignments are quoted separately.
When comparing proposals, separate the product or service price from transport, applicable taxes and any support fees. Delivery costs depend on destination, weight and volume. The quotation should state what is included, who arranges transport and the proposed timetable. Sending an online enquiry does not trigger an automatic payment or confirm a purchase.
Blue Shop also features Blue Ocean collections and welcomes proposals from artists and craftspeople inspired by coastal cities, lakes and rivers. For an illustrated kitchen board, institutional gift or personalised creation, specify the design, quantity and desired date. Product characteristics, availability, prices and delivery conditions are confirmed before any payment is made.
If you need help defining a purchase, finding expertise or raising the visibility of an offer, contact Blue Ocean with your organisation, country and objective. International coordination, based in the Netherlands, can discuss the next steps for cooperation between businesses, institutions and waterfront areas, particularly across Africa and Europe.
